Gigs I probably won’t be going to this week…

I have spent the last week stuck in the house with a collapsed lung. Not the kind of Collapsed Lung who write catchy football orientated indie/dance hits, an actual real life collapsed lung. Needless to say running about catching gigs this week is pretty much off the agenda. I’m pretty pissed off because this week is a particularly good week for gigs. I think by Saturday though I will drag my broken self along to the NME Awards show at Brixton to catch what should be a great show, 3 ace bands and then Azelia Banks, should be interesting!

Anyway for those of you who are healthy, fit, and able bodied here are my pick of the gigs this week. If you were to see one band this week it’s got to be the amazing Alabama Shakes performing their first UK shows wed ,thurs and fri at the Boston Arms up in Tufnell Park:

Active Child @ St Giles In The Fields Church
The Big Pink / Sissy & The Blisters / Moazrt Parties @ The Garage
Cut Ribbons @ Old Blue Last

Cut Ribbons – White Horses

Get People / Sylver Tongue @ White Heat

Sylver Tongue – Hook You Up

Wet Nuns / Crushed Beaks @ Old Blue Last

Alabama Shakes @ Boston Arms
Flux Pavilion @ XOYO
The Jezabels / Dry The River / Kai Fish @ Koko
Oberhofer / Pale Seas @ The Lexington

Pale Seas – Something Or Nothing

Alabama Shakes @ Boston Arms
Turbowolf / Whales In Cubicles @ Barfly
Oh Land @ Heaven

Frankie And The Heartstrings @ Shacklewell Arms
Young Dreams / Bleeding Knees Club @ Club NME, Koko
Masters In France @ The Barfly
Alabama Shakes @ Boston Arms

Two Door Cinema Club / Metronomy / Tribes / Azelia Banks @ Brixton Academy

Nothing. Nadda. Sod All.
