Savages may just be perfect. Along with Splashh I think I have found my favourtite bands of the year. I have been slow on Savages, I think maybe because I was put off knowing that singer Jehn used to be in John & Jehn. Basically that was a stupid reason and I was being a dick. The band have just released their debut single ‘Husbands’ via the Pop Noire label, so hey I guess I’m not that late. Basically, it’s fucking brilliant. They remind me of all the best bits of The Cramps, Dead Kennedys, Patti Smith, Electrelane, anything CBGB’s era New York, argh basically, they are fucking brilliant. I do not have the words.
